Starting with a satellite view of Manhattan, the vibrant cityscape unfurls beneath, revealing its concentrated urbanity. The image then transforms, compressing horizontally and seeming to dissolve the city's greenery - parks and forests - as if subtly edged out of existence. This visual shift represents a real-world human mindset: the prioritization of human living space over natural landscapes. When the image expands, revealing newfound space, the instinct isn't to restore nature. Instead, it's seen as room for more urban development, reinforcing the narrative of human dominance and expansion over nature.

This vellum test print for the book I compiled of this experimental photography series is of the rear brake light of a white car. On its side like this, it looks like a tulip or a bouquet of flowers, something floral while saturated and fiery.

This vellum test print for the book I compiled of this experimental photography series is slightly different, it is from another version of my bloom separation system. Where the original version would separate the bloom from the rest of the image based on their RGB values. This version would separate based off of their Hue Saturation and Vibrance. With this added controllability you can easily target any portion of the image to be extracted. This image in particular was of a blue city bike left in front of the Brown gym.

It was yet again high time to start anew... Only the shittiest for this playlist! The evil alternate to “I’m Important to the People.” Where it is big, this is small, where it creates this destroys, where it rejuvenates this siphons. This makes you rip your pants off and do something incriminating and vile in nature, you will yearn to destroy something beautiful. Placeholder image for a not yet created playlist.
Extraterrestrial bliss. Truly cosmic in scale, yet delicate in a way. The spiritual successor to the playlist by the same name on Soundcloud. But this will not only live up to the name but surpass it. It will be everything the original could not, and never was.
A temporary playlist. Assembled in the summer of 2021. A panoply for an era that has since passed. As the memories inevitably fade from the mind, this will persist. Limbo for music. Like a “My Shazam Tracks” playlist, this one serves as a waiting room for music I find. Waiting judgment to be assigned eternal damnation into one of my many playlists.

All four with a resolution of 300dpi, then scanned at 1200ppi resolution and composited together in Photoshop with the darker color blending mode. Print and scan feedback experiment / 2021

An image of a grazing cow printed on acetate has been viciously attacked with the sharp flat nib of a calligraphic pen. The red ink from the pen has replaced most of the cow’s hide, and the violent abrasion of the metallic “weapon” has left scars and tears in the bloody mess.
A waterfall in a luscious natural environment printed on acetate, three pieces of transparent scotch tape are masking said waterfall. The disinfectant has washed away everything but what was under the protection of the tape.

Image of a person taken from very low to the ground, framing them against the blue sky. A low flying airplane encompasses most of the background. The entire image and the acetate on which it was printed is neatly covered with rows of clear packaging tape. The outline of the airplane has been crudely cut out of the transparent tape with a box cutter which allowed the alcohol wash to completely remove it while leaving the person and the sky untouched.
A beekeeper is standing aloof in his garden. His face, body, and surroundings are eroding away around him. Machine cut transparent vinyl has been used as a mask for the acetate bath this image has taken, the paper towels used to dry it off have left textured marks on the exposed plotter ink.

A giant monkey stands tall over a snowy slope where many people are skiing and snowboarding. As the Massive baboon towers over the people watching them, a demon whispers terrible things into its ear.

On the right page is a typographic exploration of blackletter font forms superimposed on top of quick sketches of a couple wire lawn chairs.
